1 Recipe
1. Basic Breadadapted from the french recipe in the bread machine manual.
Makes three loaves if your pans are 3.5 × 7.5, and 2.5 inches tall.
ingredients & method (double batch)
- 3 C warm water
- 2 T butter
- 2 T olive oil
- 3 T sugar
- 2.5 tsp yeast
- 2 C flour
let this bubble for a while
- 6 C flour
- 1 T salt
- stir, knead, let rise
- punch down, let rise
- make into loaves, let rise
- bake at 400 for 25-50 minutes, depending on the size of the loaves. Throw a cup of water into the oven at the beginning (use a pan, silly!)
